I am Josip Jovanovic and I was born on 29 March 1972. Happily married to Szylvia, I am the father of a baby girl called Laura.

In 1982 I lost my left lower leg in a train accident. Many things in my life have taken a new turn since but one thing will always stay with me:
My drive to excel in sports. I played soccer until 1996. Then, in search of new challenges, I started taking up athletics with great enthusiasm and success.


Here are some of my achievements:
Multiple Bavarian Champion: 100m and 200m dash
Multiple German Champion and runner-up: 100m and 200m dash
Gold at European Championship; 4x400m relay (2001)
Silver at European Championship: 4x100m relay (2001)
4th place European Championship: 100m dash (2001)
Bronze at World Championship in England: 4x100m relay (1998)
